A story about Liane Chan
What’s not to love about Liane? She’s always cheerful, nice, has amazing music taste and great overall person. She lives in such a great area and I’d love to meet her when I go to San Francisco!

2005 was 99% worth living.
In 2005, Liane Chan did 125 things, went 88 places, met 9 people, and consumed 134 products.
What made 2005 so special for me? Had to be meeting lots of new people through the BRMC forum and MySpace, chatroom sessions with other fans, great community with FreeCycle, 43 Things, and my BRMC forums. Learning a lot at City College, despite not finishing classes, learning lots of crochet and computer stuff. Hanging out a lot with family and friends has also been great for me!
I had a great 2005, and 2006 should prove to be even better with another BRMC tour and meeting tons of other fans! I plan to take classes in Audio and Video Production at CCSF. I’m planning a trip to Chicago, Cincinatti, Columbus, and Slippery Rock. I’m going to bring a bunch of SD cards to record video of the shows.
I didn’t know her. I just found her profile browsing 43 and I asked her for something I was needing. 5 minutes and it was done. Good networker (so prolific) and better person.
My friend from Sheffield once called me his soulmate. I thought that was kind of weird, but it’s probably true. We shared a strong bond through our love of music and though we didn’t like all the same things, we still learned to enjoy the music that we shared together. I’ll miss him since he passed away at the end of 2002, but I know there are plenty of other soulmates out there!
The Kopyright Liberation Front or KLF was a brilliant prank on the establishment… Bill Drummond managed Echo & the Bunnymen, who will always hold a special place in my heart.
Barak seems like an especially cool guy from Orkut and 43 Things. We haven’t gotten to interact much on either sites, but he definitely seems like a unique and interesting person. I hope we can meet some day!
Anton is an amazing photographer and videographer, who’s worked with hugely famous bands like U2 and Depeche Mode, but also my personal heroes Echo & the Bunnymen – a band I will always admire for their music as well as artistic integrity.
So, he’s not among the living right? Well, his spirit definitely still lives on in the form of a modern day hero, Peter Hayes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. He’s got the same outlaw spirit and strength of convictions. Not to mention, he’s an amazing singer and songwriter as well as producer, engineer, and multi-instrumentalist.
My sister was a fan of Nine Inch Nails in high school. I think I got her the Downward Spiral on cassette for Christmas, but now she denies liking them. Her husband Tarek, however, still seems to like them. I think Trent is a cool guy since he’s a total Mac user like me. His music is dark and a little depressing, but he still seems really knowledgeable about synthesizers.
